WebToGo today announced the availability of new functionality on its OneClick Internet Connection Manager. OneClick Internet is WebToGo’s hardware independent Connection Manager for Windows, Mac and Linux. The software can be customized towards the needs of Mobile Network Operators, Hardware Manufacturers and Enterprises. Its intelligent handover logic always offers the best available connection of the different available networks, UMTS, CDMA, WiFi and LAN.

WiMAX: WebToGo’s mission is to offer pervasive connectivity at the best conditions under any circumstance. The addition of last mile wireless broadband access support was therefore of high priority on our roadmap as an alternative to cable and DSL with a view to increasing the options for connectivity to the maximum.

Gobi 3000: Besides extensive network technology support, the other face of the coin to ensuring always-on connectivity is multi-device support. One important addition to OneClick Internet’s long list of supported devices is the new Gobi 3000 module in all its different manufacturer flavours. Several new UMTS modems from different vendors – such as Huawei, ZTE, Option, Sierra, Novatel, Alcatel, Ericsson, Samsung and many others – have also been tested.

Even more banner formats: Besides reducing support costs thanks to a unified solution across devices and operating systems, Connection Manager software is increasingly gaining importance as a VAS (Value Added Service) for generating additional ARPU (Average Revenue Per User). Advertising – whether of third party products, or MNO (Mobile Network Operator) services, campaigns and promotions – can now be displayed on the OneClick Internet connection manager in any standard MMA (Mobile Marketing Association) format, such as full banner, half banner, skyscraper and micro bar. WebToGo can even provide an ad agency for those customers who don’t already work with one.

Improved self-service build management: WebToGo’s IDA Web Customisation Tool takes the requirement of “one software for all markets, customisable by USIM inserted” one step further, allowing generating customised builds per single OpCo or BU effortlessly and efficiently. It allows users in different Business Units to customize the feature set, the localization and the look and feel of the software to their specific requirements, making the software available from any approved code-set at the click of a button and across all supported OS. It is thereby a corner stone that allows WebToGo to provide the national Business Units of a global MNO with the customisation they require within an affordable, rapid and high-quality release process. The IDA Web Customisation Tool has further evolved to offering full self-service UI graphical customisation management.
