WebToGo Announces Self Diagnostics Manager for Android
WebToGo’s Self Diagnostics Manager is a unified client-server solution which addresses the need for MNOs and MVNOs to reduce the support costs and improve the quality of service for Smart Devices. The version for smartphones and tablets running the Android Operating System is available today.
Smart devices have brought a revolution in mobile Internet access by greatly improving the online user-experience. Smartphones and tablets have rapidly boomed as mass-market devices for the always-connected lifestyle on one hand and as an unprecedented support challenge for Mobile Network Operators on the other.
WebToGo has a unique vision of what a Self-Diagnostics manager needs to do, gained over its 10+ years experience in providing mobile Internet solutions and in dealing with the quirks of multi-device, multi-platform and multi-network connectivity.
This vision is shaped today in an Android solution which greatly reduces support costs and No-Fault-Found instances by fostering self-help and providing MNO intelligence.
The self-improving, client-server system performs a number of tests on the Network, SIM, Modem, Hardware, OS, Apps and Settings. It polls relevant information that may influence connectivity and system health and analyses any potential configuration problem, fixing issues and providing self-help information to the user. Technical test results are uploaded to the server to allow a clear and real-time understanding of the current issues in the MNO or MVNO support chain.
The application is available today for devices running Android from version 2.1. and expected to be available soon for iOS and Windows Phone.
