Munich, On 29.08.2005 o2 launched the Connection Manager for Mac OS. The software developed by WebToGo allows the user of Mac OS operating systems, with version 10.2 and up, and a UMTS/GPRS Data Card to access his e-mail, the Internet or the Company Intranet.

The Connection Manager developed by WebToGo accounts for an easy UMTS and GPRS connection to the o2 network, always assuring the optimal transmission protocol is used to connect to the Internet or to access the corporate network. Besides WebToGo’s best-of-breed and configuration-free connection technology, o2’s Connection Manager for Mac OS offers the following additional functionality:

• Cost control through reports of transferred data volume and online time
• Display of signal strength and selected network (UMTS or GPRS)
• International roaming with the option to select the favoured network from a list of connection alternatives
• Individual profiles can be set and saved to use corporate network settings
